Community Celebrations
7 am – Torch arrives in Horseshoe Bay Come line the streets as the Olympic flame is welcomed to West Vancouver. The torch will be carried along Bay Street, Royal Avenue and Nelson Avenue to Marine Drive. At approximately 7:10 am, the Torch Relay will continue to North Vancouver. Following the Torch’s visit in Horseshoe Bay, we invite you to bring your friends and neighbours to a Community Breakfast at the Gleneagles Community Centre
7:30 am - Community Breakfast Relay Route - Gleneagles Community Centre
West Vancouver Community Centre Spirit Square
6:00 pm - Enjoy live music and tasty festive foods provided by the Coho Festival, Canadian Iranian Foundation, Tiddley Cove Lions Club and the Polish Association all located at Spirit Square
6:30 pm – Torch Returns to West Vancouver The Torch will wind its way through West Vancouver with the final West Vancouver Community Torchbearer lighting our community cauldron at the West Vancouver Official Celebration Site. For route details, click here.
6:45 pm – The Official Community Torch Relay Celebration begins!
7 pm – Watch the Torch pass the Community Centre on 22nd Street at Marine Drive
9 – 9:15 pm - Canadian Winter Sports Performance Premier
9:15 – 11pm – The Celebration continues with live performances from Delhi 2 Dublin
